Kickoff Update

Good Morning Teams,

In a meeting late last night, a decision was made to convert the live Manchester Kickoff Broadcast to an all pre-filmed event.  Teams are still invited to travel to Manchester where the 2012 game unveiling will be screened at the same time it is broadcast to the local kickoffs.  I don’t have final details yet, but I will keep you informed as they develop.

74 days until Kickoff
See you then!

Will the reason for the change be revealed at some point?

I think this is a mistake but without the details of "why" maybe I'm missing something. Part of the hype and entertainment is that the event is live and unpredictable.

I love the live event. In the future, please try to bring it back.

Bill,

With respect to the unveiling, is it safe to assume that the real field will be on site to actually walk around on and become familiar with or is removing the field from the Manchester Kickoff part of the results of a "pre-filming" process?

I ask because some teams who have pre-registered to pick up the KOP in Manchester, might no longer desire to make the trip if the field is not actually available to interact with.

I'm optimistic and a believer that this will be a major value-add! Good luck!

Also, will we be allowed to fast forward?

Even though the Kickoff will be pre-recorded will the pre-recording still be broadcasted online / tv.
